Nurturing ministries seek to assist persons both in gaining a basic knowledge of God and the Christian faith, as well as maturing in Christian faith and life, including congregational care. Leadership in this area comes from the Nurture Team, Prayer Team, United Methodist Men, Echo Youth Group, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible Study and Confirmation. Other ministries may include short- and long-term small groups, the Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis spiritual growth weekends.
Congregational care is an important ministry at Grace. It includes prayer groups, home and hospital visitation, ministry to and with persons who are homebound, away at school or in the military, or incarcerated.
The nurture team is establishing a “visitation” ministry. Training is available. Anyone who feels called to this ministry or would like to know more about it is encouraged to contact Linda Farrell, Nurture Team shepherd, or Pastor Brian.
The Nurture Team’s Card Ministry would like to send cards to our military members. If you have a friend, loved one or know of anyone in the military that would appreciate a note of acknowledgement and encouragement, please let us know. Just fill out the card request at the bottom on the back of the prayer form and place it in the offering plate or prayer box on the welcome center counter
